One tag across borders
Three tag families cover most of Europe for a car. South-west: a télépéage badge — Bip&Go, Ulys, Bip&Drive, Via Verde Europa or Telepass Europeo — opens the barriers of France, Spain, Portugal and Italy and the Alpine tunnels. North: the EasyGo scheme — a Danish BroBizz, Swedish ØresundGO or Norwegian AutoPASS tag — pays the Storebælt, Øresund and Svinesund bridges and every Norwegian camera point, each at the tag discount; some Danish ferries board on the same tag. Centre and east: no tag for a car — Austria, Switzerland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania and Bulgaria are on the number plate (vignette), Croatia and Poland on tickets or local tags. Over 3.5 t the picture changes: Austria's GO-Box, Germany's and Belgium's truck boxes and Poland's e-TOLL are mandatory and sold separately, and an EasyGo+ tag registered for Austria stands in for the GO-Box.
