How a visitor pays
Motorways are free for cars and campervans up to 3.5 t. The Liefkenshoek tunnel on the Antwerp ring is charged per crossing by card or badge. Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent are low-emission zones: a foreign car must be registered online before entering, or is fined. Vehicles over 3.5 t pay the Viapass kilometre charge with an on-board unit.
Pay with a tag
The Liefkenshoek tunnel takes a Belgian tag from the tunnel operator; no European badge is read. Over 3.5 t the Viapass on-board unit is mandatory.
