From asfinag.at, checked 2026-08-11. Incl. 20% VAT. One vignette for the car and nothing for the caravan — the trailer is exempt by law (BStMG § 10(4)). Motorhomes over 3.5 t are not on the vignette — they use the GO-Box system. Some passes and tunnels (e.g. Brenner A13) carry a special toll on top.
How a visitor pays
Buy the digital vignette on asfinag.at or in the ASFINAG app before the first motorway kilometre, or the sticker at a petrol station near the border; the webshop lets you waive the cooling-off period so it is valid at once. Some passes and tunnels — Brenner, Tauern, Arlberg, Karawanken, Gleinalm/Bosruck — carry a separate toll paid on the spot or online. Caught without a vignette you pay a substitute toll of about €120 at once. Vehicles over 3.5 t are not on the vignette at all: they pay by the kilometre with a GO-Box.
Pay with a tag
No tag for a car — the vignette and the special tolls are on the plate or paid on the spot. Over 3.5 t the GO-Box is the tag, and an EasyGo+ BroBizz or AutoPASS tag registered for Austria works in its place.
