How a visitor pays
The rovinieta is an electronic vignette on the plate for all national roads, not only motorways: buy it online at roviniete.ro or erovinieta.ro, at the border or at petrol stations before you set off — 1 day, 10 days, 30 days, 90 days or a year. Driving without it is a fixed fine several times the annual price, sent to the plate's owner. The Danube bridges at Fetești (A2) and Giurgeni carry a small toll on top, paid online or at the bridge within 24 hours.
